Now you know why it's refurbished, huh?

I'd definitely attempt to sue them.

$2414.00! 'However, after a complaint to the BBB, HP 'graciously' offered me a one-time free repair. Of course I took them up on it. It's been about a year now, but in my opinion, the GPU still runs way too hot.

Nearly $1,800. For owning it under 3 years and having it die three times now..at this rate of failure I'd be paying over $600 a year to have a working laptop.

I paid $1200 for mine 04/11/2008. It's a funny thing, Hp found out about Nvidia's defects in Nov. 07. And I wonder how much HP put in their pockets from the class action lawsuit settlement from Nvidia.

I live in the uk & paid a £1000 for my hp laptop in dec 2006 in the pc world sale! hp are not interested in my laptop a HP DV9030EA with a amd turion cpu & nvidia geforce 7600go graphics chip my laptop has been out of action for the past 18 months! i ended up building my own pc as i need a computer but in not giving up on the laptop i have seen how to fix the overheating problem (& could) but why should i a £1000 is a lot for a laptop that dont work i will never ever buy hp again it is a design fault hp placed the cpu & graphics chips too close together with a weedy heatsink & only ONE fan to cool both! BAD BAD DESIGN!!! there is enough room in the laptop case for the cpu & graphics chip to be spaced further apart & for each to have there own cooling solution then there would not of been a problem i think hp was trying to save money putting the chips so close together it seems obvious to me that the laptops would overheat! BAD DESIGN EVEN SHITTER COMPANY!!!

watch this video & see for yourselves just how bad the design is

HP PULL YOUR FINGER OUT & EITHER FIX OUR LAPTOPS (THAT I THINK YOU KNEW WERE GOING TO FAIL) OR REFUND US ALL!!!
